AUBURN – The 12th annual Maine Garden Day will feature 35 workshops from renowned horticulturists on Saturday, April 16, at the Central Maine Community College. In addition, there will be educational displays and a gardening trade show.

Some of the featured speakers will include an Extension small business development specialist, James McConnon, presenting “Growing a Business”; bonsai enthusiast, Richard Pollock, presenting “Bonsai Basics”; Windswept Gardens owner, Robert Bangs, presenting “Roses, the Right Choice for Maine?”; and Robins Nest Aquatics owner, Christopher Pauquette, presenting “Water Gardening in Maine.”

First 550 registrations will be accepted. To register, people must request a brochure from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension by calling 1-800-287-1482 or find the brochure online at http://www.umaine.edu. The cost is $37 and includes lunch and all workshops.
