LEWISTON – Annette B. Veilleux, 88, formerly of 788 Washington St., Auburn, died Saturday afternoon, Feb. 19, at Russell Park Manor.

She was born in Lewiston Jan. 9, 1917. a daughter of Alphonse and Anna Bolduc Bernier. She was educated in Lewiston schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On June 26, 1937, she married Archille A. Veilleux, who died Feb. 6, 1989.

Mrs. Veilleux worked many years at the Pepperell Mill and Bates Mill until her retirement.

She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church.

In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, knitting, gardening, and quality time with her family. She always had a smile and love for her family and friends. Her generosity and kindness was abundant, and those who knew her were blessed by her kindness.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother and recieved loving care from her sister, Jeannine, and her grandsons, Jeff and Jon.

She is survived by two daughters, Claudette Burke and her husband, Richard, of Coral Springs, Fla., and Vana Zellers and her husband, Larry, of Lovettsville, Va.; four grandchildren, Lisa Dana Berrio and her husband, Carlos E., of Lauderhill, Fla., Jon Bucci and his wife, Molly, of Burlington, Vt., Jeffrey Bucci of Cape Elizabeth, and Courtney O’Connor of Lovettsville, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Nicole and Daniel Berrio, and Jacob and Isabella Bucci; and four sisters, Jeannine Croft of Lewiston, Carmen Dam of Tampa, Fla., Lucille Thibodeau and her husband, Wallace, of Lewiston, and Connie Levesque and her husband, Paul, of Statesville, N.C.

She was predeceased by a son, Peter, who died Oct. 22, 1977; and two brothers, Walter and Rene Bernier.
