LEWISTON – Edna A. Gallant, 79, of Wyman Hill Road, South Rumford, died Sunday, Feb. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a brief illness.
She was born in Madison, on Nov. 5, 1925, a daughter of Levi and Josephine (Richard) Arsenault. Edna was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School.
She married Vincent P. “Porky” Gallant on Jan. 19, 1952. He died on July 7, 2004.
She was a communicant of St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Paul Gallant of South Rumford; and a daughter, Kathleen A. Fuller and husband, Calvin J. Fuller Jr., of South Rumford; two sisters, Rena Hamel and husband, Eddie, of California, and Regina Barbour of South Portland; a brother, Alphonse Arsenault of Mexico; six grandchildren, Jeanne, Kelly, Joshua, Jennifer, Jeremy and Vanessa; and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Blake.
She was predeceased by sisters, Cecilia Arsenault and Lillian Sutton, and a brother, Frederick Arsenault.
