Dear Sun Spots: I never miss your column.
Again, I’m requesting your help to find a person or company that would be able to fix a carousel.
One was given to me as a Christmas gift, and this past Christmas I took it out for the holidays but it didn’t work. The music plays but the carousel doesn’t turn. Thank you ever so much. The carousel means a lot to me. – Y.P., Turner.

Dear Sun Spots: We need your help!
The seventh grade at Livermore Falls is taking a field trip to the Science Museum in Boston.
Several parents are involved in trying to raise $3,000. We are making a flag quilt to honor our servicemen and women. Those wishing to help can purchase a square on our beautiful handmade quilt, for only $5. It can be on honor or in memory of someone. We are only selling a limited number of squares. When completed, we will march it in our local Memorial Day parade. Then it will be on permanent display at the Livermore Falls Middle School.
Please help us honor our heroes as well as go on our trip.
Contact Kim Moreau at 897-6840, Donna Bibeau 897-2752 or Joanne Gosselin at 897-5675 to purchase a square or for more information. Thank you for all your support. – Kim Moreau, parent of a seventh-grader at LFMS.
Dear Sun Spots: I’m in big trouble. I need your help to find someone to reinstall my bifold door that keeps falling off the track. Thank you for the favor. – R.E. Damon, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I read your column daily but this is my first request.
I am looking for McCalls craft pattern No. 5499 of Raggedy Ann and Andy. It is discontinued. If anyone would be willing to sell or let me copy one, I would pay a reasonable price. I can be reached at (207) 353-9428. Thank you. – J.T., Lisbon.
Dear Sun Spots: My aunt and uncle are over 62 yet under 65. They have asked me to write to you as they read your column daily. Their total income for 2004 was $22,380, all from Social Security benefits. Do they fall under the guidelines for food stamps? – H.A., Augusta.
Answer: Sun Spots would encourage you or your aunt and uncle to contact their local Department of Human Services office for details. Sun Spots understands you need to have a file with DHS in order to discuss income guidelines and this is not information Sun Spots would be able to access. To contact the Lewiston office, call (207) 795-4394. To contact the Augusta office, call (207) 287-5060.
