Dear Sunspots: I used to buy Bouyea-Fassetts bread at the day-old bread store on Center Street in Auburn because their prices are so much better than in the supermarkets. However, the store is now closed. Can you, or a regular reader, tell me where it has moved to, or where there is another day-old bread store that sells Bouyea-Fassetts bread? Thanks for all your helpful advice. – Peter Wigley, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: We enjoy your column and read it faithfully. This is in regards to La Choy’s Brown Sauce that many of your readers have inquired about:
This sauce was discontinued a number of years ago and there is no replacement product at this time. A spokesperson at Hunt-Wesson Inc. corporate offices, 1645 West Valencia Drive, Fullerton, CA 92833 (714) 680-1000 provided this recipe for the sauce. Ingredients: ½ cup corn syrup (light or dark) ½ teaspoon of soy sauce. Method: Mix ingredients together and use as the original brown sauce. – Irene S., Lewiston.
