LEWISTON – Arthur V. Albert, 84, of 110 Fairmont St., Lewiston, died Monday, Feb. 28, at Central Maine Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born in St. Agathe, on Nov. 29, 1920, the son of Victorie and Flavie (Bourgoin) Albert.
He was married in Millinocket, on Aug. 16, 1941, to the former Annie LeBelle who predeceased him on March 18, 1993.
He served in the United States Army as a medic during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for H. E. Callahan Construction Co.
He enjoyed working and tinkering with tools, as he was very mechanically inclined.
He is survived by three sons, Conrad and his wife, Judy Albert, of Hemet, Calif., Arthur and his wife, Claudette Albert, of Clearlake Oakes, Calif., and Norman and his wife, Suzanne Albert, of Minot; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie and her husband, Larry Mailhot, of Lewiston; one brother, Pete and his wife, Sharon Albert, of Mesa, Ariz.; and a very close friend, Shirley Labonte.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Antonia Albert; and by a sister, Ann Roy.
