Faculty game

FARMINGTON – The undefeated Mt. Blue Middle School boys eighth-grade basketball team will take on the faculty in a basketball game for tsunami relief. The game will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Mt. Blue High School. The public is welcome.

Penny sale

PHILLIPS – A penny sale auction will be held at noon Sunday, March 13, at Phillips True Value Hardware to benefit the Phillips Public Library. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information, stop in the hardware store on Main Street.

CPR course

SALEM – SAD 58 Adult and Community Education will offer an eight-hour first aid/CPR course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Mt. Abram Community School. The course will be instructed by Diane Wilson.

Class size is limited to 12, so preregistration is required by March 28 and the course will be filled on a first-come, first-serves basis. Cost is $65 a person and includes the book.

Upon successful completion, students will be certified for two years by the American Heart Association for child, infant and adult care. For more information or to register, call the office of Adult and Community Education at 678-2701, ext. 226.
