AUBURN – The Machine Tool Technology program at Central Maine Community College has received full accreditation status from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills. NIMS is a national nonprofit organization for the development of a skilled workforce for the metalworking industry. Accreditation by NIMS is recognition that the program has met nationally-recognized standards for the industry.
CMCC is the only college in the state to have earned this recognition, according to Dean of Academic Affairs Patricia Vampatella.
