At a Republican town meeting in Philadelphia, sponsored by Sen. Rick Santorum, it was interesting to note that a crowd of Republicans chanted outside “Hey, hey. Ho ho. Social Security has got to go!”

Privatization appears to be the first step toward getting rid of Social Security.

Grover Norquist of the Americans for Tax Reform told the LA Times, “Social Security should be reformed, not because the system is going broke, but because it’s a lousy program.”

President Bush in not trying to mend Social Security. He is trying to end it.
