LEWISTON – As the Maine Music Society garden tour committee begins preparing for the 11th annual Garden Tour, the committee is looking for gardens in Lewiston.

If anyone would be interested in showcasing their garden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, they should call the Maine Music Society at 782-1403.

OES supper

WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, for a potluck supper at the Wales Grange/Masonic Building, 322 Centre Road. It will precede the annual meeting and election of officers.

Members are reminded to bring food to be shared at the supper.

LEWISTON – Learn how to create Web pages from start to finish using Microsoft Front Page. Lewiston Adult Education will offer the three-week class from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning March 15.

Learn the basics of HTML, how to format text, graphics and create hypertext links. No experience with Web design is required, but students must have basic knowledge of computers and the Internet.

AUBURN -Mary Dillingham Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Court Street Baptist Church.

The program will include awarding Good Citizenship Medals to outstanding young people from several area schools.

Refreshments and guest speaker, Charles Plummer, will follow the presentations. All prospective members are welcome.

Officers night

AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at the hall at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, when Scrambled Officers Night will be observed.

Since the program will be “Game Night,” which was postponed previously because of snow, members are reminded to bring board games or cards. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

DAR meeting

LISBON FALLS – Regent Sheila Desgrosseilliers announces that Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the home of Jayne Bickford.

A silent auction will be held after the business meeting.

Seeds program

MONMOUTH – There will be a presentation on gardening by Johnny’s Select Seeds of Winslow from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 12, at Cumston Public Library.
