LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge will meet Wednesday, March 9, at their hall, the Ralph Wright Memorial Building, 284 Federal Road. A 12:30 p.m. lunch will be served before the meeting, with Bernal and Glennys Wilkins in charge. At the 1:30 p.m. meeting, the birthday of Schuyler Colfax, the founder of the Rebekah degree, will be observed.

Chief to speak

WILTON – New Police Chief Wayne Gallant will be the guest speaker at the Wilton Community Forum Breakfast on Wednesday, March 9, at the First Congregational Church, 386 Main St. Doors will open at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and the program will run from 7 to 7:30 a.m. The breakfast buffet, including hot and cold items, is free and all are welcome.

Gallant, formerly a lieutenant and detective with the Rumford Police Department, began his new duties in mid-February. He has special experience in police work related to domestic violence and juveniles and has trained personnel from a number of law enforcement agencies. The forum will provide time for a question and answer period.

Club tour

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls Women’s Club, a member of the Maine Federation and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, will gather at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, in the lobby of the Central Maine Cardiac Institute in Lewiston.

The members will tour the center, then go to Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn for lunch and a meeting. The tour is in conjunction with the Maine President’s project of raising awareness of women’s heart health.

School concert

RANGELEY – The Rangeley Lakes Regional School choirs, with the help of other singers in the community, will present “Shout, Hallelujah!” a concert of spiritual music, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2, at the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Music will include “Go Down Moses,” “My Lord, What a Morning” and “Praise His Holy Name.” Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children, students and senior, and can be purchased in the school’s main office or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the school choir’s trip to a music festival in May.
