PERU – The Peru Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the Rockomeka Grange Hall.
Youth art show
RUMFORD – Pennacook Art Center, 82 Congress St., is featuring “Kids and Critters” during March in conjunction with Youth Art Month.
The exhibit opened on Friday. The main gallery is showing images of children and animals of all kinds. Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students from SAD 43 will have their own show in the garage area from March 11 through 25.

SummerFest
PERU – The Peru SummerFest Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Peru Elementary School.
Activities and events that have been discussed and planned so far are a parade, talent show, pancake breakfast, children’s games, woodsmen competition and music.
The committee is still seeking volunteers.
Anyone who has ideas or can spare some time to volunteer during the SummerFest, which will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9 and 10, may attend the meeting or call Lynda at 562-7164 or Yvonne at 364-8728 week days or 562-7496 evenings and weekends.
