AUBURN – Verna Mae Tame, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6, at the Odd Fellows home in Auburn.

She was born in New Brunswick on Sept. 25, 1914, the daughter of Basil and Ethel (Nichols) Trafford.

She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God where she was participating in many activities. Verna was also a member of the Lewiston and Poland Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed gardening, making wreaths, making wedding cakes, being outdoors and especially being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by son, Verne Tame Jr., of Illinois; daughters, Beverly Fecteau of Lisbon, Helen Jepson and husband, Leonard, of Litchfield; stepsister, Edith Trafford; stepbrother, Charles McCleary, all of Poland; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; stepfather, Roy McCleary; daughter, Joyce E. Levesque; one sister; four brothers; one stepbrother; and two stepsisters.
