FOND OF THE FOOD: Alton Stone, Dixfield, has been a regular at the Lenten salmon lunches served at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church each Friday. It’s well worth the trip, he said, as he piled coleslaw and beets on his already full plate. Servers Karen Christie and Nancy Knox placed a huge slice of salmon pie on his plate first. Friday’s well-attended luncheon was the last for this Lenten season. The Rumford church may have another series of lunches later in the year, said member Grace McKivergan.
