LEWISTON – Glendon R. “Glen” Churchill, 63, of Industry, went home to be with his son, Brent, on Saturday evening, March 5, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, after a two year battle with cancer.

He was born, Jan. 11, 1942, in Starks, a son of Linwood and Wilma Churchill. He attended Starks and Madison schools, graduating from Madison High School.

He worked for G.H. Bass for 12 years as a hand sewer, and later for 15 years for Earl Ireland at Farmington Sanitary Disposal. His most current employment was for SAD 9 driving a school bus, which he enjoyed very much. He was very involved in the town of Industry, serving as a town selectman for 12 years.

He loved a game of cribbage anytime, anyplace and with anyone, watching TV and going to Saturday night dances with his wife. His greatest joy in life came to be time spent with his grandson, Cody, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and camping.
