LEWISTON – Marilyn “Millie” Ida Curtis, 79, of South Paris, died Wednesday, March 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Waterford, on Dec. 18, 1926, the daughter of Edith Blanche Stanley Durgin and Henry F. Durgin. She graduated with Honors from Norway High School.

Until her recent retirement, she was employed part-time by Mabel’s Craft Shop in South Paris for many years. Her talents included home-making and many crafts, knitting, beading and sewing. She enjoyed reading mystery and romance novels in her spare time, but devoted most of her time to family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind and caring ways.

She was twice widowed; first by Larry J. LeBlanc, and second by Arthur G. Curtis; and is survived by four sons, L. Michael LeBlanc of Hudson, N.H., Vaughn H. LeBlanc of Windham, Brian A. LeBlanc of Norway, and Martin P. LeBlanc of Albany; a step-son, Alan Curtis; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Hugh Durgin of Norway; a companion, Howard Keene of Poland; and close friend, Susan Poor.

Five sisters predecease her, Dorothy, June, Martha, Thersa, and Joyce.
