AUBURN – Jim Baumer, writer, will present a Tenior program on journaling from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Auburn Public Library, temporarily located at the Auburn Mall.

Baumer, a freelance writer who lives in Durham, writes for various local and regional publications, including the Lewiston Sun Journal and the Brunswick Times Record, as well as being a contributing writer for MainelyKids.com.

He is working on his first book, “When Towns Had Teams,” a nonfiction work on town team baseball in Maine from 1950-1975. Baumer said about journaling, “Many of the seed ideas that later become my articles and ideas for other writing that I do, originate with my journaling.”

Those attending should call 782-3191, ext. 4, to reserve a spot or e-mail sholt@auburnpubliclibrary.org and bring an older elementary or teen. A door prize of a blank journal will be awarded. Light refreshments will be served.
