• March 5, 3:30 p.m. – A Bethel resident reported that someone stole a ski jacket, prescription sunglasses, compact discs and $15 in change from his unlocked vehicle during the night while it was parked on Main Street at Sud’s Pub, where he was working. The value of the goods was estimated at $500.

• March 4, 10:50 a.m. – A Telstar Middle School secretary reported that a middle school student had been caught passing out some pills. Chief Alan J. Carr stated in his report that the pills were determined to be a narcotic analgesic used to treat moderately severe pain. At Bethel’s police station, Carr summonsed the boy for possession of an illicit drug, before releasing him into custody of a parent.

Arrests

• Amanda Johnson, 18, of Bethel, on a warrant for failure to appear, 7 a.m. March 6. She is to be arraigned on April 5 in Rumford District Court.
