OQUOSSOC – Steve Philbrick, chairman of Rangeley’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, was the speaker at the February meeting of the Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association.

Philbrick shared highlights of the yearlong event, urging the 50 members present to get involved.

In the business portion of the meeting, Vice Chairman Rusty Harvey noted that the club will share expenses with Rangeley Public Library for a mid-March slide and talk presentation by the Mahoosic Guide Service on “Big Game Hunting in the Yukon.” Date and time will be announced.

Members attending should call John Thomas, 864-5360, for details and to place an order for a Wednesday, March 16, club members and friends night-out at Parkside and Main.

A 5:30 p.m. potluck meal will kick off the next meeting on Thursday, March 17, at the clubhouse, Old Skiway Road.

A short business meeting and yet-to-be-announced speaker will round out the evening. Everyone is welcome.
