AUBURN – Lillian J. Berube, 87, of Bolster Heights Health Care, died Tuesday, March 8, at Bolster Heights.

She was born in Amesbury, Mass., June 19, 1917, the daughter of Emile and Claudia Jutras Grenier. She was married in 1937 to Lucien Berube, who predeceased her Dec. 18, 1977. She was employed many years at Bates Manufacturing Co., and later at Bates College. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and enjoyed playing beano, traveling with her sister, Evelyn, and crocheting. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved and treasured.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Michelle Bedard of Auburn, and Normand Bedard of Auburn; her son-in-law, Ronald Bedard of Sabattus; a great-grandson, Benjamin Belanger; three sisters, Evelyn Dickinson of Auburn, Rita Hebert of Washington, and Edith Malo and her husband, Roland, of Lewiston; and a brother, Gerard Grenier of Auburn.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris L. Bedard, who died Nov. 7, 1994.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Bolster Heights for loving, caring and respecting Lillian, and also thanks to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their superb care.
