LEWISTON – Roland E. Martin, 75, died Tuesday, March 8, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was a resident of Knox Street in Rumford.

Born in Rumford, May 26, 1929, he was a son of Joseph and Vina (Arsenault) Martin. He was a graduate of Stevens High School in Rumford, and was the manager of the Mexico Liquor Store for many years.

He was a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Church in Rumford, a member of WOWS, and the Greater Rumford Senior Citizens Group. He enjoyed his family and friends.

He was married in Rumford on Sept. 3, 1962, to Jane Mooney, who died in Rumford on July 11, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Martin and his wife, Jenni, of Harrington, Del., and Dale Martin and his wife, Kathleen, of New Hartford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Joseph and Jane Martin of New Hartford, Conn.; and two sisters, Esther Martin and Gloria Lamontagne of Saco.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Martin Jr.
