AUBURN – Lorraine H. Scipione, 71, of 440 Minot Ave., formerly of the Hacketts Mills Road in Poland, passed away on March 10, at Clover Health Care in Auburn.
She was born in Hebron, on July 27, 1933, the daughter of William and Alvina (Michaud) Roy.
She had a long work history in the local mills. She worked for more than 30 years in the heel section of the industry, for Sableman Plastic Heel, Security Heel and Ripley Industries, retiring in 1986.
She enjoyed horse racing, playing cards and children. She loved to talk on the phone and joke around with family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always making people laugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Tarr and her husband, Chris, of Auburn; sister, Theresa Gilbert of Auburn; brother, Robert Roy of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; beloved husband, Henry Scipione; sister, Mabel Bouthot; and brother, Henry Roy.
