LEWISTON – Reinette G. Pruneau, 73, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, March 9, at d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home.
Born in Lisbon, Oct. 26, 1931, she was the daughter of Odilon and Marguerite Chouinard Fortin. She was educated in Lisbon, and was a graduate of Lisbon High School in 1949, and also beauty school in 1960.
She married her first husband, Maurice Roy, in 1952, and he passed away in 2002. On Oct. 14, 1978, she married her second husband, Roger Pruneau. They resided in Cape Coral, Fla., until returning to Maine in 2004. She was self-employed as a beautician until she retired.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Pruneau of Lewiston; one daughter, Elaine and husband, Christopher Eaton, of Bass Harbor; two sisters, Therese and husband, Leo Tardif, of Lewiston and Lucille and husband, Weston Smith, of Ocala, Fla.; two grandchildren, Andrea and Eric Eaton of Bass Harbor; four stepchildren, Dennis Pruneau of Millinocket, Irene and husband, Stephen MacDougall, of Lewiston, Jane and husband, Rusty Cyr, of Lewiston and Mona and husband, Bruce Lamb, of Shapleigh; five step-grandchildren, Evan and Lauren Cyr, and Ethan, Jordan and Ali Lamb; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her first husband, Maurice Roy.
