LEWISTON – The University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College will sponsor an information session and open house for the master of occupational therapy program. This informal event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, at the college.
The event will include opportunities to meet with faculty and students to gain information about the program, curriculum and admissions requirements, and there will be a question-and-answer forum.
Applications for admission to the program are being accepted. Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline at a regionally accredited college or university. Other admissions requirements, including program prerequisites, will be explained.
For students who have not yet attended college, the Jump Start Program is available and will also be discussed. The Jump Start option enables students to complete their undergraduate and graduate education at USM/L-A in five years.
Monday’s informational session will be conducted by Roxie Black, an associate professor and director of the program. Anyone interested in learning more about a career in occupational therapy is encouraged to attend. The session, free and open to the public, will be held in room 170 at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St. in Lewiston. Light refreshments will be served.
Those who wish to attend or obtain more information are asked to call the program’s administrative assistant, Luisa Scott, at 753-6523 or send e-mail to [email protected].
