LEWISTON – Meetings planned for today by top state officials in an effort to gain public input on health care concerns were indefinitely postponed.
Gov. John Baldacci had hoped to hold “Tough Choice” meetings in Augusta, Bangor and South Portland on Saturday, then changed the date to today because of the weekend snowstorm.
On Saturday, officials canceled today’s events.
“Because people will be traveling long distances in very bad weather, we’ve had to make this decision,” Baldacci said in a written release.
The events may be held later in the year, state officials said.
