PARIS – Two women were injured when their cars crashed head-on on Route 117 about 5:40 p.m. Sunday.
Paris police Sgt. Michael Dailey, who investigated the accident, said Bunny Morris, 58, of Hartford, was driving toward Paris when her car went over the center line of the two-lane secondary highway.
Her 1999 Ford Contour came nose-to-nose with a 1995 Honda driven by Elaine LeClair, 64, of South Paris.
Dailey said Morris had been extricated from her car by Paris firefighters, who cut the roof from the vehicle.
She was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital by ambulance where she was being treated for multiple injuries. Dailey said the injuries “did not appear to be life-threatening.”
LeClair was also taken to the hospital by ambulance suffering from a leg injury.
Dailey said the road is in rough condition, and that a frost heave may have contributed to Morris crossing the center line.
