WEST FARMINGTON – Jack E. Main, 71, of West Farmington, formerly of Hortonville, Wis., went home to be with the Lord forever and ever, Monday morning, March 14.

He was born, March 18, 1933, in Hortonville, Wis., a son of Theodore and Leta (Jack) Main. He attended the local schools in Hortonville, Wis., graduating in 1951. He went on to serve in the Army during the Korean War.

He worked at Wire Products Co. in Hortonville, Wis., and later at Superior Electric Co. in Appleton, Wis.

In 1959, he married Jeanette Birling. He later remarried on Oct. 14, 1989, Connie (Hutchins) Kolreg in Farmington. He moved to Maine in 1991, where he worked as a tour bus driver and later as a school bus driver for Winthrop and Monmouth schools.

In 1980, he was baptized and was a former member and deacon of the Community Baptist Church in Hortonville, Wis. After moving to Maine, he was a former member of the Winthrop Methodist Church and was a current member and deacon of the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church in Farmington where he also sang in the choir. He was a member of the local American Legion in Wisconsin.

He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, yard work, traveling with his wife, Connie, and playing croquet with his grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was playing the trumpet in various polka bands which he did for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, of West Farmington; one daughter, Pamela Oudenhoven and her husband, Keith, of Kimberly, Wis.; five stepchildren, Wenda Sudduth and her companion, Mark, of Anchorage, Ala., Christie Lee and her husband, Joe, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Wendall J. Kolreg, Jr. and his wife, Antonina, of Jay, Tammy Lawson and her husband, Kevin, of Va., and Rebekah Hawes and her husband, Kurt, of Jay; two grandchildren, Amy and Carrie Oudenhoven of Kimberly, Wis.; 18 step grandchildren, Stacey, Kira, Lona, Stephanie, Vanessa, Joseph, Valerie, Ebony, Porscha, Charles, Devan, Dean, Chris, Nick, Nathan, Alex, Shane and Sophie; three step great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, James Burkhardt of Minneapolis, Minn. and Milton “Larry” Hutchins of Winthrop; four sisters-in-law, Beverly Main of Hortonville, Wis., Beverly Lefebvre of Strong, Jeanette Hutchinson of Weld and Marilyn Booker of Readfield; nephews, Jeff Burkhardt and his wife, Lori, and Joel Burkhardt and his wife, Lori, all of Minneapolis, Minn.; two cousins, Ruth Nagreen and Delores Ebben and her husband, Harvey, both of Hortonville, Wis. and their children.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lauren Main; sister, Mary Jane Burkhardt; step-granddaughter, Desiree Lekanoff; special aunt, Marie Thern; niece, Susan Burkhardt; cousin-in-law, Vernon Nagreen.
