AUBURN – Anthony Shostak of Greene will be the next presenter in Central Maine Community College’s “Approaches to Art” course. His free talk, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in J201, is open to the public.

Shostak was born and raised in Lewiston and studied painting, drawing and sculpture at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

He has exhibited at several venues in the United States and abroad, most recently with the exhibition, Revoluciones del Mundo in Havana, Cuba. Other recent exhibitions have been at Gallery 817 in Philadelphia; Round Top Center for the Arts, Damariscotta; Stadler Gallery, Kingfield; Center for Maine Contemporary Art, Rockport; and the University of Southern Maine at Lewiston/Auburn.

Shostak is the founder and director of life drawing sessions at Bates College.
