LEWISTON – Alison M. Coleman of Lewiston, a senior at Lewiston High School, has been selected to receive the 2005 Principal’s Award, Principal Patrick H. O’Neill has announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

O’Neill said, “Alison has consistently demonstrated the characteristics of responsibility and dependability so necessary in any leader. Throughout her years at Lewiston High School, Alison has distinguished herself in the classroom, in interscholastic competition, and as a leader in the school and community.”

Coleman, O’Neill and other award winners and their principals will attend an honor luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2.

The Honors Luncheon recognizes the students with the presentation of an individual plaque and pin. Drawings will be held for five $1,000 scholarships.

Coleman is the daughter of Timothy and Louise Coleman of Lewiston.
