Being inducted into National Honor Society was a very proud moment for me. All the effort that I have put into my school work to keep my grades up and all the time I have donated to volunteer work was finally recognized in a big way. The process to be inducted in NHS is a long and difficult one, having to put so much effort forth to even be eligible. The character of a member is of great importance, as well as the work ethic and Scholarship.

The Tapping Ceremony itself was quite amazing. Being presented my yellow rose by one of my good friends and knowing the commitment that I was making was a great and yet overwhelming feeling. So far, I have participated in the flower sales, and we have raised over one hundred dollars to donate to a good cause. I have also started to plan my individual service project, and we are currently selling daffodils to support cancer research. I know that there are many more fundraisers to come, and I am happy that I have been selected to be a part of this organization to help other people.
