Okay, now that we have your attention, there is a fun new way to earn money for college! Playing an all-time favorite board game, with a local twist, could give you up to $1000 towards your future education. Dust off those Monopoly® game pieces and start practicing for the OPI CONSULTING ANDROSCOGGIN-OPOLY SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE.

All juniors and seniors from Androscoggin County are invited to join in on the fun, on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 3:30-7:30 pm in Lewiston High School’s cafeteria. This is a great way to potentially earn money for college, while having fun with your peers. You can play as an individual or in teams of four to six people. Get your friends, club mates or teammates together and make a team! It will be a blast to play against people from your own school, as well as from other schools in the area.

First place will win $1,000 and second, third and fourth places will each win $250. All this for playing a game! It’s so easy, why wouldn’t you do it? Hey Moms and Dads, if you’re reading this, encourage your young adult to apply today…it’s less that you’ll have to pay.

As if playing for money wasn’t enough, all those who play will receive a goodie bag with lots of free stuff, including a cool t-shirt sponsored by USM L/A College. We’ll even give you free food! How can you beat all that? So grab an application today in your guidance office or call the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce at 783-2249. YOU MUST PREREGISTER and applications are due in your guidance office by March 30, 2005.
