YARMOUTH – The Maine International Trade Center is presenting the International Business of Climate Change Opportunities for Maine Companies, Thursday, March 31, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Delorme in Yarmouth. A networking reception will follow.

International greenhouse gas emissions policies and objectives are being developed through Kyoto, Japan, and European initiatives. Information about the international perspective as well as regional programs that the state of Maine and local companies are initiating will be presented.

The keynote address will be given by Mark Sinclair, who will present an overview of the United Kingdom’s G-8 and European Union presidency roles and its focus this year on climate change policies.

A business opportunities panel session featuring Maine Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Dawn Gallagher, international energy consultants and technology experts from the United Kingdom will also be presented.
