STUART, Fla. – Beverly M. (Kenney) Gillis, wife of Donald Gillis, formerly of Lisbon Falls, died Feb. 25, in Stuart, Fla.

She was born in Farmington, March 25, 1935, the daughter of Richard N. and Virginia Kenney. As a child, she moved with her family to Auburn, then to Lisbon Falls, where she graduated from Lisbon High School, Class of 1953. She attended the Auburn, Maine, School of Commerce and then married Donald Gillis, her husband of 50 years, in 1955 at the home of her parents in Lisbon Falls.

She and her husband had one child, Stephen, born on April 7, 1957. They lived most of their lives in Connecticut, retiring to Florida in 1992.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; a son, Stephen and his wife, Mary; two grandchildren; her mother, Virginia Kenney of Auburn; two brothers, Robert E. Kenney and his wife, Gail, of Bucksport and Port Charlotte, Fla., and Leon G. Kenney and his wife, Beth, of Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Richard N. Kenney.
