AUBURN – Sally Fournier of Colfax Rebekah Lodge 27 in Mechanic Falls, District 3 deputy president of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine, will preside at the annual meeting being held Saturday, March 19, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St.

Her marshal, Mary Jones, also of Colfax, will assist her. The session will open at 2 p.m. Other lodges in the district are Fidelity 4 and Liberty 94 of Auburn and Nina 86 of Lisbon.

Members from all four lodges will take part in the business. Helen Witham of Acme Rebekah Lodge in Oakland is warden of the Rebekah Assembly and will represent the Assembly. Rebekahs from all over the state are invited.

Officers for the meeting are Cynthia Larrabee of Colfax, noble grand; Arlene Chandler of Colfax, vice grand; Cathy Hunnewell of Fidelity, secretary; Sally Wentworth of Nina, treasurer; Martha Shorette of Nina, financial secretary; Arlene Simons of Liberty, warden; Jean Peppin of Colfax, conductor; Joan Pike of Colfax, right supporter of the noble grand; Lucille Hobbes of Fidelity, left supporter of the noble grand.

Also, Patricia Robichaud of Colfax, right supporter of the vice grand; Pearl Roberts of Nina, left supporter of the vice grand; Glendon Spiller of Fidelity, outside guardian; Joe Robichaud of Colfax, inside guardian; Debbie Smith of Nina, color bearer; Ruth Malcolm of Colfax, chaplain; Ellen Parady of Fidelity, musician; Mary Jones and Ruth Malcolm of Colfax, soloists.

The address of welcome will be given by Larrabee, and the response to the welcome will be given by Esther Tucker, past district deputy president and member of Liberty. A special tableau will be presented for the President’s Project under the direction of Lucy Cowels, past district deputy president and member of Fidelity.

A question and answer period will be under the direction of Witham, and a memorial service will be under the direction of Gail Morgan, past district deputy president and member of Nina.

Beulah Allen and Mercena Abrams, both past district deputy presidents and members of Liberty, will greet all who and will have charge of the guest book.

Those who attend are encouraged to bring items for the exchange table to benefit the President’s Project. It is under the direction of Sue O’Connor of Nina and Ruth O’Brien of Fidelity.

Following the meeting a supper will be served by the members of Fidelity.
