FARMINGTON – Kim S. Johnson, 68, of East Wilton, died Wednesday, March 16, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
She was born April 7, 1936, in Ta Gue, Korea, the daughter of Kim Won and Yun (Ak) Ei. She received her education in Korean schools and in 1958, by Korean law, she and Robert O. Johnson were married. They later were married in the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea.
She came with her husband to the U.S. in the early ’60s. They resided in Auburn for many years. She was employed as a salad chef at the Roundhouse Motor Inn. When they retired, they relocated to the Franklin County area.
In her free time, she enjoyed cookouts at the family camp in Upton, fishing and tending her vegetable and flower gardens.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert O. “Bob” Johnson, of East Wilton.
