ROME (AP) – In a March 15 story and glance about the status of the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Singapore had withdrawn its 160 personnel.

Singapore, which never had troops in Iraq, has kept forces and equipment in the Persian Gulf to aid the coalition. Under its current rotation of forces and equipment, Singapore has 180 servicemembers in the Gulf assigned to a landing ship tank. It also has six police trainers working in Lebanon.
