AUBURN – Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council will provide an opportunity for girls in kindergarten to participate in Girl Scout activities from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, March 19 and 26, at the Auburn Methodist Church, Park Street.

The introduction to Girl Scouts will give girls the chance to meet Zink the Zebra, “the zebra with the spots;” make rainbow stew; try an obstacle course; and make a tie-dye butterfly.

There is a $10 Girl Scout membership fee to join the Daisy Express. Payment should be made when parents take their daughter to the event and complete the registration form. Financial assistance is available.

Preregistration is required and space is limited. Contact Sandy Steinberg by e-mail at sandys@gskc.org or call 772-1177 or 1-800-660-1072.

Girl Scout programs are designed to encourage girls to develop new skills, get involved in their communities, set goals, make new friends and make healthy choices for themselves.

Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council provides programs for more than 10,000 girls in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset and York counties.
