TURNER – Peter and Marie Allen of Turner are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Allen, to Bernard Staples, son of Carl and Roberta Staples of Lewiston.
Miss Allen is a 2000 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, majoring in child development and family relations.
Mr. Staples is a 1997 graduate of Calvary Christian Academy in Turner and a 2005 graduate of Pensacola Christian College in Florida with a degree in mechanical engineering.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 6 at the Norlands in Livermore.
