LEWISTON – Bertrand A. Bonneau, 77, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center Saturday, March 19.

He was born in Lewiston Nov. 5, 1928, the son of the late Arthur O. and Mabel (Bisson) Bonneau. He was educated at St. Peter’s School, and then served as a Military Policeman in the Army. Following the Military, he began his lifelong career as a painter and paper hanger.

In his free time, he enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, and above all he loved to read.

He was a member of Holy Family Church in Lewiston.

He is survived by two daughters, Constance Lyon and her husband, Gregory, of Amherst, N.H., and Patricia Ayotte and her husband, Gerard, of Lisbon; a son, Randy and his wife, Angie Bonneau, of Pittston; a sister, Leona Arsenault, of Harrison; a brother, Walter Bonneau, of Old Orchard Beach; and a former wife, Angeline Merrill. He will be sadly missed by his nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Lajoie.
