MEXICO – Lawrence W. Whitehouse, 74, died Sunday, March 20, at his residence. He was a resident of Chase Avenue in Mexico.

Born in Mexico, on Aug. 15, 1930, he was the son of Walter and Marie (Singer) Whitehouse. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and worked for Oxford Paper Company in the shipping platform for 41 years.

He served in the U.S. Armed Forces as a supply sergeant during the Korean War.

He was a member of Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion, Blazing Star Lodge 30 AF & AM.

He enjoyed traveling and working outdoors.

He was married in Japan on Sept. 3, 1954, to Fumiko Whitehouse, who survives of Mexico.

Other survivors include a brother, Anthony Martin of Dixfield; and many nieces and nephews.
