LEWISTON – Betty L. Roberts, 69, of the Upland Road in Lisbon, died Sunday afternoon March 20, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with her family at her side.

She was born in Milford, on Oct. 5, 1935, the daughter of Elmer and Vera (Parker) Moore. The family moved to Lisbon where she was educated in the Lisbon school system.

She was married to Richard O. Roberts, who died Oct. 16, 1986, and became a wife and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church where she volunteered many years for the Whirlybirds and Pipercubs childrens’ groups. She was also a member of the Marigolds group for widows at the church. Her greatest passion was the time she had with her grandchildren. In her free time, she liked traveling, crocheting, shopping, sewing and doing other various arts and crafts.

She leaves five daughters, Linnie Goodwin and husband, Ralph, of Lewiston, Carol Sheehan of Albany, N.Y., Iris Heimgartner and husband, Alan, of Stockbridge, Ga., Vera Morse and husband, Butch, of Durham and Margaret Roberts of Ellenwood, Ga.; a son, Richard D. Roberts and wife, Michelle, of Oxford; her father, Elmer Moore of Lisbon Falls; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dale Moore Sr., and wife, Phyllis, of Lisbon Falls.

She was predeceased by her mother, Vera Moore; a sister, Velma Moore; and three brothers, Llewellyn Moore, Elmer Moore Jr., and Norman Moore.
