BRIDGTON – The Bridgton Art Guild will present Art in the Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 23, in Shorey Park. The art guild is a 501c (3) nonprofit that operates Gallery 302.

Art in the Park celebrates the second anniversary of Gallery 302’s opening. This year’s show will feature purchase prizes and a limited edition poster. The Bridgton Art Guild promotes the arts in the Bridgton region.

The art guild held a contest in February to pick an image for use on all Art in the Park promotional materials. Entries from 12 guild members were displayed in Gallery 302.

Elna Stone’s painting was voted the winner at the February meeting. Her watercolor will be reproduced on all posters, brochures and advertisements of the show. Limited edition posters will be available at Gallery 302 in June.

The guild also held a people’s choice contest open to all visitors to Gallery 302. Nancy Endahl’s painting was the People’s Choice winner.

Art in the Park features works by artists and artisans in many mediums. Entry forms can be obtained from Gallery 302 during business hours noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Those interested may also request an entry form by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to Art in the Park, Gallery 302, 112 Main St, Bridgton, ME 04009, calling the gallery at 647-2787 or e-mailing a request to jjbeecher@adelphia.net.
