LEWISTON – Doug Hoyt of the American Red Cross will be the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club speaker at noon today at the Ramada Inn. Anyone interested in knowing more about Rotary is invited to attend. Cost of the luncheon is $8.

Holy Week

TURNER – Pastor Nate Colson of the Turner Village Church announces Holy Week events at the church.

A Maundy Thursday communion candlelight service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today. On Good Friday, March 25, there will be a free movie, “The Passion of the Christ,” on a big screen at 6:30 p.m.

The Easter Sunday Sonrise service will be held at 7 a.m. at the church followed by breakfast at 8. The Easter morning worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

The public is welcome at all these events.

Registration set

WINTHROP – Winthrop Grade School will hold kindergarten registration and screening on Monday through Thursday, May 16, 17, 18 and 19. Parents are asked to call the school at 377-2241 ext. 249, between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for an appointment time. The child must be 5 on or before Oct. 15 to register. Parents should bring the child, his/her original birth certificate, immunization record and a recent photo.
