ORONO (AP) – Four finalists for the job to lead the University of Maine will begin visiting the campus next week, the university announced Thursday.

Each of the four will spend two days on the campus and will hold a series of meetings with faculty, staff, students and other members of the university community.

The candidates are P. Geoffrey Feiss, provost of the College of William and Mary; Brian L. Foster, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of New Mexico; Robert A. Kennedy, interim president of UMaine; and Mary Ann Rankin, dean of the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas-Austin.

Foster will be in Orono next Tuesday and Wednesday, and Feiss will visit next Thursday and Friday. Rankin and Kennedy will have their time the following week.
