LEWISTON – James “Jimmy” L. Truman Sr., 47, of Blake Street, Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday, March 25, at his home.
He was born in Gardiner on March 13, 1958, a son of Everett and Ella Hood Truman. He attended Gardiner schools.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He enjoyed shoveling snow, playing Yahtzee, and his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tammy Roy Truman, of Lewiston; five children, Lori Libby of Randolph, James L. Truman Jr. of Augusta and Shawn, Joshua and Tara Truman, all of Lewiston; eight brothers and sisters, Gerald Truman of Farmingdale, Nancy Truman of Weeks Mills, Russell Truman of Chelsea, Clyde Fowler of Randolph, Everett Truman of West Gardiner, Dennis Truman of Randolph, Jenny Kipp of Dresden and Robert Truman of Whitefield; four grandchildren, Ashley, Amber and Adam Libby, and Felicity Truman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Dale Truman; two sisters, Evelyn Fowler and Sandra Cady.
