NEW GLOUCESTER – Sharon “Sherri” Ruth Mott, 58, died Friday, March 25.

Born in Portland, on Nov. 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Stanley and Ruth Phillips Brown.

Sherri made time for others; she reached out to family and friends by going the extra mile. She loved little children and was a friend of animals, always willing to take in an unwanted cat or dog.

She loved walks, flowers and the mountains.

She is survived by husband, Russell Mott, of New Gloucester; three daughters, Callie Marie Viney of Portland, Krista Ann Cayer and her husband, Jeffrey, of Oxford, and Kristin Mott of Boston; two sisters, Linda Joan Thibeault of Livermore Falls, and Carol Ann Gagnon and her husband, Francis, of Cumberland; one grandson, Rowan Cayer; and many nieces and nephews.
