Two track executives were charged and have pleaded innocent. The track’s owner has denied the business was connected to the illegal enterprise.

Track spokesman Rick Newman said this month that betting has dropped by about 30 percent since the indictments were announced. Several staff members have been laid off, including the two executives who were charged.
