LEWISTON – Yvette M. Bechard, 81, a resident of Lewiston, died Easter Sunday, March 27, at 121 Rosedale St., at the home of her nephew who took special care of her, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 31, 1923, the daughter of Napoleon and Emilia (Cote) Ouellette.

On Feb. 8, 1947, she married Edward L. Bechard Sr., who predeceased her on Feb. 2, 1999. She was a devoted homemaker where she raised her two sons. She was a member Saints Peter and Paul Church as well as the ACME and Pastime clubs of Lewiston. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two sons, Robert and his wife, Joline Bechard, of Lewiston and Edward L. Jr., and his wife, Kathryn Bechard, of Crestview, Fla.; an aunt, Blanche Bolduc; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Joanne Gagne and one special nephew, Richard Bouchard. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Armand Ouellette.
