• March 28, 10 a.m. – A Rhode Island resident reported that someone burglarized her vehicle between March 4 and 5. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of her summer residence on Chapman Street. Taken in the theft were compact discs and DVDs.
• March 25 – A man cutting wood on Grover Hill across from Gould Academy’s winter parking area reported finding several plastic bottles and charred remains of a chemical reaction that caused the bottles to explode. Police recovered one bottle that had not exploded. Extra police patrols in the area were requested. Officers were asked to stop people in the area “to make sure they are not using chemicals to produce this dangerous chemical reaction,” said Sgt. S.R. White.
Arrests
• Sarah R. Lane, 21, of Bethel, on an Androscoggin County warrant for unpaid fines, and eight felony warrants from Clarke County, Ga., for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, LSD, OxyContin, Methadone, marijuana, Ecstasy, and opium, at 3:17 p.m. March 23 at 99 Intervale Road. She was taken to Oxford County Jail in Paris, then transferred to Androscoggin County jail in Auburn to await extradition to Georgia.
