SPRING HILL, Fla. – Clarice Lewis Weissleder, 83, originally of Lewiston, died March 3, following a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, May 30, 1921, she was the daughter of Thelma and Ralph Lewis. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1940.

She worked in her father’s Sabattus Street store and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. She retired from the U.S. government in Washington, D.C. She later moved to Florida, where she married Albert Weissleder.

She is survived by a brother, Ralph Lewis Jr., of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Pugsley Houston of Tennessee; and brother, Robert Pugsley of Lewiston.
